Privileged position
right on the Riva degli Schiavoni where many well known hotel of
Venice are found. The Hotel Gabrielli Sandwirth has a
beautiful view of Bacino di San Marco and the Riva degli
Schiavoni, a popular promenade in Venice. In just a short walk
you can be in Piazza San Marco and the Giardini, where the
Venice Biennale is organised every other year. Very close to the
hotel you will find the Arsenale of Venice, the center of the
naval power of the antique Serenissima Repubblica; the School of
San Giorgio degli Schiavoni with the famous cycle of the
Carpaccio and the Naval Museum that has all the historic
testimony of Venice and its past with the sea.
HOW TO GET THERE
From the Santa Lucia train station and from Piazzale Roma:
- By private water taxi to the hotel (Rio Ca' di Dio). We advise
that you establish a price before getting in the taxi and check
to see that they are authorized (you can verify by the yellow
stripe and license number painted on the sides of the boat).
-By VAPORETTO (public transportation system) take the line 1 (45
minute trip) this is the perfect way to see Venice in all of its
splendour, passing down the Grand Canal. For those wanting a
quicker journey, take line 41 going towards Giudecca (30 minute
trip). Either way you choose, get off at the stop Arsenale,
which is situated no more than 150 meters from the hotel. From
the Arsenale boat stop, go to the left, crossing the Ponte Ca'
di Dio.
From the Tronchetto (Car Terminal):
-By VAPORETTO (public transportation system) take the line 82 (towards
Giudecca) to the San Zaccaria stop (approx a 40 minute trip). Go
to the right across two bridges, the Hotel is about 200 meters
to the left.
From San Giuseppe Airport (Treviso):
-There is a shuttle service connecting Treviso Airport with
Piazzale Roma-Venice in coincidence with major flights. From
Piazzale Roma you can take the VAPORETTO (public transportation
service) line 1 or line 41 of the Arsenale stop. From the boat
Stop, follow directions as above. |
From Marco Polo Airport:
-By private water taxi to the hotel (Rio Ca' di Dio). We advise
that you establish a price before getting in the taxi and check

stripe and license number painted on the sides of the boat).
-By shuttle bus ATVO or ACTV to Piazzale Roma and then by
Vaporetto line 1 or line 41 as suggested above.
-By water shuttle ALILAGUNA : leaves from the Airport pier and
arrives at Arsenale in approximately 60 minutes. The boat stop
is around 150 meters from the Hotel. From the Arsenale landing
go to the left and cross over the Ponte su Rio Ca' di Dio.
